Children’s Pottery Classes in Singapore

Clayable’s children’s pottery classes give kids in Singapore a hands-on introduction to working with clay. Guided step by step by our instructors, children shape their own piece from a block of clay, then paint and glaze it once fired. Classes are open to children aged four and up, with solo and paired sessions available.

Why Kids Enjoy Working With Clay

Parents often ask what their child actually gets out of a pottery session. A few things stand out:

  • Pinching, rolling and shaping clay builds fine motor skills.
  • Staying focused on one piece for the full session helps with attention span.
  • A quiet, screen-free room gives kids a break from constant stimulation.

Painting and Glazing

Once the clay work is done, kids move on to the part most of them love best: colour. They mix bright, non-toxic glazes, add their own patterns and textures, and finish with a piece that is entirely their own design.

What to Expect in a Class

  1. Welcome and instruction. Our instructors walk your child through the basics before they touch any clay.
  2. Materials. Each child gets a block of soft, beginner-friendly clay and everything else they need for the session.
  3. Shaping. Kids spend about 90 minutes building their piece, working at their own pace with help close by.
